Dear Reading Several,
"Well?" You may be thinking, "Aren't you ever going to end this blog? It's your last day in Sweden, how is this not the 'ultimate' post?"
In fact, due to my flight timeline, I am likely to have yet another adventure in my flight back home (hopefully a positive one). I'll give a farewell update on Tuesday, when I'm back home. I won't really bother you with boring details about today or yesterday. A brief overview. Saturday: I attempted to go to a zoo (djurparken) in a neighboring town. However the only public transportation to get to the zoo itself was by bus, and the bus that goes to the zoo doesn't run on weekends. Ho hum. My hope is that I've gotten my travel failure out of the way and for that reason will now everything will go off without a hitch -as it did on the way over, and yes, I have double checked that my flight tomorrow leaves on July 2nd and not October 2nd or some such nonsense. Sunday: Packed and cleaned.
So, my itinerary for coming home.
Step 1: Departing from Copenhagen airport in the evening, arriving at the Amsterdam airport that same evening (they're not that far away).
Step 2: Departing from Amsterdam airport the next morning (yes, I have a 12 hour layover in Amsterdam, not prime hours for going out into the city alone and adventuring. I just sort of want to get home), arrive in Detroit late afternoon.
Step 3: Depart from Detroit shortly after arriving, arrive in Lexington in the evening.
Step 4: Be chauffeured home by one or more members of my loving family (obviously not Holly, who is away at Smart Kids Camp 2.0)
I hope my next report isn't too exciting, but certainly hope that I'll be able to give a good conclusion for my travels - maybe I'll write down some musings on the longer flights...
for the truly second-to-last time
Godnatt!
-Trey
